The Elementary Conversation Course is designed for learners with a basic knowledge of Italian who want to build confidence and start speaking in simple, everyday situations.

With a maximum of 6 students per group, you’ll have plenty of time to speak, receive personalised feedback, and improve your confidence in a friendly, supportive environment.

The course includes 6 online lessons, with one lesson per week.

Course objectives

During the course, you will work on:

  • interacting in simple everyday situations
  • understanding and producing short phrases related to immediate needs
  • using basic vocabulary and elementary grammatical structures
  • participating in simple conversations with greater confidence
  • improving pronunciation and listening comprehension


The teacher will act as a linguistic and communicative facilitator, encouraging interaction between participants and providing targeted feedback on vocabulary, pronunciation, and basic grammar structures.

The approach will be mainly communicative, through activities such as:

  • guided dialogues
  • role plays based on real-life situations
  • repetition and drilling activities
  • pair work
  • activities using images and flashcards


Topics covered

  • INTRODUCING YOURSELF AND GREETINGS
    Greeting and saying goodbye; introducing yourself (name, nationality, age); talking about hobbies and interests through short presentation dialogues
  • HOME AND FAMILY
    Describing your family in a simple way; saying where you live; naming rooms and objects in the house
  • FOOD AND DRINKS
    Talking about likes and dislikes; ordering at a café or restaurant through role-play activities and menu comprehension
  • FREE TIME AND DAILY ROUTINES
    Talking about daily activities; describing free-time activities; expressing preferences through descriptions of your typical day
  • SHOPPING AND NUMBERS
    Buying objects; asking for prices; using numbers and quantities through short shop dialogues
  • PLACES AND TRANSPORT
    Asking for and giving simple directions; using transport; buying a train or bus ticket through travel role-play situations

All times are Italian time. The chosen schedule remains the same for the entire duration of the course.
