The One World Story

The School

One World was founded in Cagliari in 2001 by David Tomkinson, an English teacher who saw the potential of the city to host what he dreamed would one day become a global brand. It's been a long journey from when One World was just a converted opticians with 7 chairs and a whiteboard with just David to what it is now: 10 classrooms, a cinema, a video recording studio, a computer room and a break room overlooking the beautiful port of Cagliari.

The school now teaches English, German, French, Spanish, Russian and Japanese. And of course Italian. Every year hundreds of students come to study Italian and have an unforgettable study holiday experience at our school from all over the world.

But One World is not just about coming to our school. It's for everyone. All the time. www.oneworlditaliano.com is full of free material to help you learn Italian and our videos on our YouTube channel Oneworlditaliano hosted by Veronica have been seen almost 15 million times!

In 2018 we started One World Online School with the goal of combining the best from our school in Cagliari with the best from our online content. We want our followers to become our students so that wherever you are in the world you can learn with us in a fun and effective way.
